Fallen Leaves is a gathering of short stories about people, introduced by Mr. Anessi in almost every way you can imagine. High school escapades mingle with war stories, tales of hurricanes, and some science fiction, too. Members of families exchange thoughts and memories, good and bad. Individuals evaluate life as a whole, and their own lives, the good and the bad. Through all of these stories weave Mr. Anessi's writing styles, for he has more than one. He can be factual, "you are there" evoking, tear jerking, sensual-to-the-max. Sometimes, you want to get into the story and talk to the people, make something happen (or not). You find descriptive passages that you want to go on forever. A wry twist of humor makes you want to meet Mr. Anessi and shake his hand. You want to stay up all night and read every unique story, to the end of the book. You want the book to never end.... Will there be another book? Hmmm!
