Publisher's Synopsis
EVOLVING INTELLIGENCE: A JOURNEY TOWARDS NEW FRONTIERS Is a Pentathlon of Pragmatic Common Sense and Logical Thinking on subjects such as Evolutionism and Creationism; Upcoming, Human Advanced Species; Free Will, Emotions, and Logic; Logical Common Sense, and the application of Personal, Ethical and Moral Values in Improving our Human Performance and Personal Self-actualization in order to survive in a future where Transhumans will be the predominant leaders. In Part One, Our Self-Evolving, applying common sense, logical thinking, and an open mind, to the analysis of the Nature of our Origin, can provide us with unorthodox answers. Proverbial issues on the origin of humanity can be observed from the prism of functional thinking rather than from a perspective based on religion, mythology, or the forces of Mother Nature. Using logic, we can depolarize our customary way of approaching things: Were we created by Divine Powers or by Evolutionary Forces? But what if we were created by both of these forces acting in resonance with one another rather than counteracting each other? In Part Two, Advanced Species, the subject of upcoming, Human Advanced Species is discussed taking into account we have significantly evolved since prehistoric times: Our brain evolutionary changes have provided us with a level of intellect that by all accounts of the human imagination continues to rise and eventually will lead us into becoming limitless, in the psychological and physiological sense. From linguistics, to the creation of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Nanotechnology, we can see it is only natural to assume we continue to evolve mentally in such a fashion that as the level of human intelligence rises, as evidenced by our technological, medical, aeronautical, communication, and engineering sciences, we are approaching an era when we will make the leap from the normal intelligence stage to the realm of Super Intelligent Life. In Part Three, Free Will, Emotions, and Logic, challenging what we know using functional thinking helps us improve and built upon what we have accomplished in the past: The mapping of the Human Genome is but one of the greatest wonders the field of Natural Science has devised in the latest discoveries about our cellular and molecular fabric. When Genetic Engineering and Nanomedicine find common grounds in innovating futuristic, biomedical solutions to human disease, there will be no limits in enhancing human longevity. In Part Four, Logical Common Sense for Improved Human Performance, concepts of the pursuit of happiness; personal responsibility and self-reliance; doing our best, and other self-help perspectives are explored. In Part Five, Combating the Logic of Absurdity, issues such as Political Correctness, our Education approach, our Government Tyrannical legislature, our Economic failed Policies, our National debt problems, and our bipartisan political system, are discussed: The United States of America is at a crossroads as indicated by the maneuvering of social issues on the part of our deplorable governing system and its incessant attacks on the fundamentals of Capitalism and our Personal Liberties. We need sensible, smart policy changes if we are to survive as a Nation.
