Publisher's Synopsis
A suspenseful, vigilante thriller in the tradition of James Patterson, Stephen King, and John Grisham, Evinall is a riveting tale of the heartbroken doctor, who cured addiction, as he teams up with his sobriety sponsor to take down parasitic criminals lurking in the streets of his beloved hometown, Boston, with simply a machete and a smile. Filled with wit, dark humor, and heart-warming moments of love and friendship, this debut as the first of a series refuses to be put down! Official review from OnlineBookClub.org of Evinall by Adam Witkowski reviewed by Dolor ***4/4 stars*** "If you have an endless supply of money and could do anything you want, what would you do?Dr. Nero Karlin uses his resources in discovering a cure for addiction; creating a healthier, happier world; and continuously searching for new and improved ways to enhance the quality of life for people who have medical issues. On the other side, his unquenchable thirst for murder enables him to wield a 24" razor-sharp machete to wipe the vile human beings (murderers, rapists, sex offenders, money extortionists, etc.) out of existence. Will he triumph in both quests? The title (Evinall) is the name of the "wonder drug of the twenty-first century" invented by Dr. Nero Karlin to fulfill his promise to his beloved wife, Eve Brooks. He named it after her. Its subtitle "There will forever be some Eve in all of us" serves as its title's expanded meaning. This is a standalone read. Of all the characters in this story, Dr. Nero Karlin was my favorite. I admired his careful planning and precise timing. Nero will face a new nemesis in the next sequel and I was sold on its blurb the moment I read it. Adam Witkowski is now one of my favorite authors. This fast-paced story could spark the readers' imaginations. It is a captivating read with a compelling concept and well-developed world. Adam's writing is vivid, engaging, thrilling, and easy for the average reader to follow. The transition of events and the information about the characters and worldbuilding were realistic and skillfully presented. I did not find any loophole in the characters' ingenious conversations. There was nothing I disliked in this book.Adam Witkowski's Evinall deserves nothing less than the perfect rating (4/4 stars). This book is for those who are looking for an epic, well fleshed out, and plot-driven stories. I recommend it to the lovers of Crime / Thriller / Horror / Mystery stories.Reader's Favorite.com review ***4/4 stars***BOOK REVIEWby K.C. Finn for Readers' FavoriteEvinall is a gruesome, suspenseful tale set in Boston, where we find ourselves in the company of the innovative and philanthropic Dr.Nero Karlin. Having created the amazing titular drug Evinall to cure addiction, the affluent doctor secretly gives in to his own addiction for bloodshed by ridding the world of those he sees as criminals. So begins the thrilling tale of a vigilante hero for the modern age.Author Adam Witkowski goes full guts, full glory in this inventive and atmospheric take on the crimefighter genre, brought bang up to date for modern audiences to enjoy. I admired the fact that the work was not afraid to be visceral and graphic in the amount of violence that its proposed hero commits, creating interesting questions about good and evil as the story goes along. The more we get to know Nero and explore the medical science fiction elements of the work, the more realistic and disturbing the piece becomes. This conceptual framework is delivered alongside high-octane action scenes clever banter in the dialogue presentation, and a plot structure that keeps you hanging on by the fingernails to see what happens next. Overall, I would highly recommend Evinall for fans of the horror side of superhero thrillers, and those seeking a great start to a promising new series.
