It always rains on the same day once a year in the small town of Quiet Creeks, and Sandy Hawkins keeps her tradition alive during that certain day, with a fresh baked cherry pie, chocolate milk, and a particular song on the record player - just as well as she keeps her grim secret hidden - until her boyfriend Alan Haze begins to suspect something eerie about Sandy, causing him to go as far as restlessly searching through headstones at the towns cemetery late one night, just before the storm, after hearing something suspicious surrounding her.
