Publisher's Synopsis
This bi-lingual, French-English dictionary is directed towards pharmacists and particularly those living in rural regions, in large urban conurbations and where there is a high percentage of European tourists. It is also intended for doctors or specialists confronted with particular difficulties. For example, there may be a need for a prescription to be renewed by a foreign doctor for continuation of a foreign patient's treatment. In another instance, there will be a need to give a prescription for the country to which a foreign patient is returning, which incorporates an equivalent to a French drug which has been prescribed to the patient during their visit. In the same way, doctors may wish to make up prescriptions for patients who are departing abroad and who may need a particular drug during their visit.;This reference addresses all these eventualities by listing the name of the speciality; by giving the INN (International Nonproprietary Name) classified both numerically and alphabetically; and by giving the Therapeutic Class (if the INN is not known) to help with finding the equivalent drug.
