Publisher's Synopsis
In this small book you will find wisdom and advice on how to tune out of our egos, aiming to become a reflection of God, a representation of its essence, as we all human beings grow and develop through our lives towards this realization.
You will find reflections on the subject mentioned by Marcus Aurelius in his Meditations, when he feels close to death and other Stoic philosophers who believed that a flame lights up on us when we are born; thoughts from Edmund Husserl, who proposed that our sense of transcendence is embedded in our consciousness; references on Dante's vision our souls rising naturally towards its divine essence; thoughts on human evolution driven by the need to reach mystical experiences through physical challenges; a brief summary on known religious and philosophical ideas on why we choose a life of suffering instead of one of spiritual bliss. I offer the reader a synthesis of the physiology of fear, drawing a picture of our mind behaving like a barking dog who keeps awake his owner all night, inviting you to seek Mindfulness, to avoid being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around you. I relate my experiences practicing paragliding, in my search to focus into the present, where I free myself of thinking, as slipping away from the present even for a moment may mean death. I share with my readers what I learned while making the pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia northwest Spain, when I accepted a mysterious call inside myself to go there. It is an experience which gives you the chance to reflect and to grow spiritually and leave you energized, grounding your life for some time after you return home. The stories that follow are all familiar, but I hope that the way I connect them here may help you to see these ideas in a fresher light. At the end of this small book, I offer advice I have used to rebuild my life, to rebound after my brief rubbing against death, which recount here. I hope you may find some useful input to benefit from. Please get your copy today by clicking the "Buy Now" button right now. Thank you.
