Publisher's Synopsis
Independent of each other, Eleni Panteliadou and Luca Gardini, named their cats as Eros and Cupid respectively. Last Tuesday morning, Eros, a two-year-old female calico, and Cupid, a male tuxedo born nineteen months ago, both escaped from their homes. Eleni was the daughter of the vice-consul general of the Greek Consulate in Istanbul. Luca lived in Istanbul, too. He was invited to the city last year by one of his friends from his Erasmus days some eleven years ago. Before he came to Turkey, Luca was an experienced Programmatic Leader that wanted to help shape the future of audio streaming. He used to work for a media services provider based in Milano. Their cats escaped and they went out to look for them. Unfortunately, it was the worst day to be outside for a foreigner. On this evening, 15 July 2016, a coup d'état was attempted in Turkey against state institutions. During the coup, over 300 people were killed and more than 2,100 were injured. Many government buildings, including the Turkish Parliament and the Presidential Palace, were bombed from the air. Both the Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Bosphorus bridges in Istanbul were closed. Eleni's home was close to the latter. She survived being crushed by a tank at the last minute. Did they and their cats survive? (This is the second book of Captivating Tales. A nice Greek lady, a handsome Italian and two cute cats. A horror night flash fiction.)
