Publisher's Synopsis
This is one of a series of titles which reproduce classic patterns by outstanding artists. Each volume contains 16 pieces of wrapping paper bound into the book and perforated for easy removal. There is also an illustrated introduction. William Kilburn (1745-1818), one of the most eminent textile designers in late-18th-century Europe, was admired particularly for the detail and richness of his patterns for floral chintzes. The 16 Rococo designs reproduced in this book are from an album of watercolours in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
