Publisher's Synopsis
Emerald Royale has always been a princess, though many wouldn't guess it. Among other things, she spends her time riding, fighting, and going on adventures, all within the castle bounds, of course. But princesses are supposed to be regal and proper, and Emerald is most definitely not. Emerald wishes for a chance to prove herself as a capable knight and show her father, King of Morintine, that girls can be heroes, too. But one ill-fated day her wish comes true, and not in the way that she has hoped. Emerald's father has been captured by some mysterious force, and is presumably dead. Emerald embarks on a dangerous journey to save him, meeting several interesting people along the way. But she isn't worried. She knows all of Morintine's secrets... doesn't she?
