The overall aim of this book is to provide objective information on the technical possibilities and limitations of the use of electronic identification and monitoring with animals. Basic principles of data transfer via radiowaves are explained, so that users are able to optimize their own applications, or to evaluate devices which are currently available on the market.;Examples of applications are described in detail, including extensions with electronic monitoring.
