Publisher's Synopsis
The King condemns a baby to die in order to keep an old woman's prophecy from coming true-that the baby would one day marry the King's daughter. The child is eventually saved and his life carries on as any other would until his adolescence, when he is thrust into adventures and tests of character. Will he marry the King's daughter? Will he ever reign? Or will he be condemned to row against the current of destiny that drags so many men down?
El rey condena a morir a un bebé para evitar que se cumpla la profecìa de una anciana que habìa afirmado que se casarìa con su hija. Un hombre termina salvando al bebé y la vida del niño transcurre tranquilamente hasta su juventud, cuando empiezan a surgir pruebas y aventuras. ¿Llegará a casarse con la hija del rey? ¿Llegará a reinar? ¿O será condenado a remar contra el destino que arrastra a algunos hombres como la corriente de los grandes rìos?
