Not all the politics of New Mexico is found in our white civilization; not all inaugurations are in Santa Fe. The sixth of January, 'cl dia de los reyes.' twelfth night, is also the inauguration day in all the pueblos and it was celebrated everywhere with fitting ceremonies. The Comanche dance Los Matachines, Buffalo, and Deer dances, and other ceremonies were given in honor of the new governor and to bring success in the various Winter undertakings.
