Publisher's Synopsis

To evaluate the best composition of Spermine and Spermidine Polyamines on morphophysiological characteristics of the Madagascar Periwinkle plant, an experiment was performed in a completely randomized design with three replications in the research greenhouse of Zanjan University in 2018. The treatments consisted of four concentrations of Spermine (0, 5, 10, 15 ppm) and Spermidine (0, 5, 10, 15 ppm). According to the results, Spermine was more effective than Spermidine in most of the traits. The highest mean of traits such as plant height, stem diameter, flower diameter, Chlorophyll and Carotenoid content were observed in 10 ppm Spermine. As a result, a second experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of Spermine on salinity stress in a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design. Treatments included four Spermine concentrations (0, 5, 10, 15 ppm) and salinity stress (0, 60, 120 mM) of Sodium Chloride. According to the second experiment, the use of Spermine improved the growth and yield of plants under stress conditions.
