Publisher's Synopsis
He's another constant. A constant presence that I didn't know I needed until he was always there. Maybe I came here because I had hoped he'd be here, I'm not sure.
I watch him through my wet lashes, while still breathing heavily. He pauses near the door, inspecting me with a furrowed brow. Without taking his eyes off me, he strolls over to his regular seat. My eyes follow him, begging him for something I don't know I need. "Topolina?" His deep, sonorous voice breaks down my last barrier, and I go to him. Closing the last few feet of distance, I inch my way slowly onto his lap, curl against his chest and press my face into his neck. Finally, I can breathe.
