Publisher's Synopsis
'When I was a child I had a black cat called Ebeneezer and now I really enjoy making up stories about Ebeneezer's adventures for my grandchildren. In my first book ' Ebeneezer the Stowaway', the cat stowed away on a yacht racing across the Atlantic Ocean. This year, 2012, is 100 years since the famous White Star passenger liner 'Titanic' hit an iceberg and sank. My husbands' great uncle, Thomas Andrews was head of the Titanic design team at Harland and Wolff's shipyard in Belfast. Unfortunately he was among those who lost their lives in the tragedy. We lived for seventeen years in 'Ardara,' the family house in Comber where Thomas Andrews spent his childhood and youth. The disaster was always a great sadness for the family but as the years go by and the Titanic holds such a fascination for most young people, I decided to mark the centenary with this Ebeneezer adventure. I hope you will find the information about the 'Titanic' in the story helpful especially, if you are doing projects for school.' Dianne Andrews.
