Rispetto alla ortografia inglese avendo essa dopo l' anno 1775 in cui l' Autore pub blicò questo libro in Londra, sofferto parecchie mutazioni, alcune delle quali furono accettate dai vocabolarii altre sostenute solamente dal l' uso io non ho seguito che le prime, e però non ho tolto la K finale a tutti i vocaboli ter minanti in CK siccome ora quasi general mente si pratica dai tipografi inglesi; ma l'ho tralasciata soltanto in quelli che ho trovati scritti cosi nelle mi lion e più recenti edizioni dei vocabolarii di J 0 nson, di Walker, di Boyer, e di Nugent.
