The maps accompanying this work are necessarily on a reduced scale. The large map of Persia prepared by Major St. John for the India O?ice is, indeed, the only one obtainable which would fairly illustrate the journeys recorded. The geological map illustrative of Mr. Blanford's memoir will be deposited in the India Office, and a copy placed at the disposal of the director-general of the Museum for Geology, for reference.
