The several editions of prayer books published in Canada have been investigated bv the aid of Mr. C. C. James, of Toronto, who has pursued the subject with patient research and continued interest. The Hon. Judge Baby, of Montreal, through his valuable collection of prayer books in the languages of the Indian tribes, has also been of much assist ance. Mr. Phileas Gagnon, of Quebec, a bibliophile of wide reputation, has promptly furnished desirable details, that have been used in every case.
