Domestic violence is a very serious matter that affects those who are being abused and their families. To bring awareness to this growing epidemic, these three authors have come together in hopes of giving anyone suffering from this issue a voice to speak out. Meet Jahziel, a handsome young man who has everything going for him. He has money, cars, and a beautiful home, but the one thing he doesn't have is a woman to share it with. He meets Kari, a beautiful single, working mother who is doing what she needs to in order to take care of her seven year old twins. He sweet talks Kari into going out and the two become romatically involved. It isn't until she is head over heels over him that she finds out why he has been single all this time. Jahziel has a dark side and will lash out for the smallest thing. He takes his anger out on Kari, even when her kids are around. Even though her family has been called to her defense on numerous occasions, Kari remains loyal to Jahziel. What will it take for her to leave him and will she do it before it's too late? Victor is a strong, hard-working black man with an even stronger, dark side. He grew up in a household where his father beat his mother and told him that was how a man keeps his woman in line. He said if a man loves a woman, it is his job to keep them in line. So that is what he does when he meets Yvette. He is charming, suave and smooth until she falls head over heels for him. Once he has her where he wants her, all bets are off and out comes the ugly. He uses his fist to run his household, even sending her to the hospital with his abuse.
