Born and raised in a small town in northern British Columbia, Karlissa has traveled to various countries throughout her life, including Switzerland to study writing and other communications and England to study graphic design. Writing, drawing, research, and animals (particularly unusual and little-known creatures) are among her favourite passions and pastimes.
