William McCargo is a retired teacher, an author and a promoter of preparing children for social, educational and economical opportunities. Mr. McCargo has over fifty years of experience and involvement in youth programs and working in the field of youth education and counseling. Writing a children's book has been one of many of his goals. The inspiration for writing Duck Puddle Farm is a result of owning and operating a childcare facility, Duck Puddle Childcare, in Drakes Branch, Virginia. Learning opportunities give youths maps for their visions of the world's educational, social, economic and prosperity for success. These opportunities to learning should be available to all children, such as his grandchildren pictured below.
