Publisher's Synopsis
It's 1890. Annabelle DuBois resides in the prosperous waterfront town of Edenport, North Carolina in DuBois Manor. The daughter of an authoritative shipping tycoon. Her seductive husband, Jonathan Taylor hand picked by her father is now at the helm. It is a marriage of business, leaving Annabelle's heart to wander. Annabelle's time alone does not go overlooked by the town Mayor. Jonathan must do what is required risking it all to preserve the DuBois legacy. Annabelle fills the void by allowing her spirited sister Olivia and her son, the only heir to move back in the manor. It seems Olivia's abusive husband, Adam Fallsworth, the co-owner of the company and a venomous alcoholic frequently squanders company profits at the local Bordello. This move will test both sisters' yearning for love placing them in mortal danger. Annabelle weathers storms, not unlike those that tossed the seas their merchant ships traveled. Her life will evolve in ways she could never have imagined. And all the while, unbeknownst to everyone, the magnificent stained glass panels with an angelic depiction atop DuBois manors staircase keeps a vigilant eye on them. Little did they know a scorned former servant placed a vicious voodoo curse on the family and stained glass that will last generations. The curse that had remained dormant, until the death of one family member unleashes it and it slowly awakens destroying who and what it can.
