Statistics is the study of data collection, analysis, presentation, and interpretation. The early impetus for the field of statistics came from government requirements for census data and information about a wide range of economic activities. Currently, both theoretical and practical advancements in statistics have been sparked by the need to convert the large amounts of data that are available in numerous applied fields into useful information.
Information are the statistical data points that are gathered, investigated, and summed up for show and understanding.
