This inside story by a deputy of Heinrich Himmler and Reinhard Heydrich, who ran the most secret counterintelligence office of the SS, was published in 1945 in Switzerland. But for decades all copies have been bought up and destroyed by Nazi sympathisers, and the author himself was assassinated, despite the War being over, by a vengeful SS assassination team. None of the heirs of the Nazis wants this information to be made public. But Eglantyne has translated a rare copy of the book which escaped destruction. The author was the only survivor of the organising group of six men who carried out the Night of the Long Knives massacre, and as an eye witness of those events he tells the full story.
