David Bakish holds AB and MA degrees from Bucknell University and a PhD from the University of Delaware, all in English literature. He is the author of articles and books on African-American literature and a book on the comedian Jimmy Durante that was a finalist for an ARSC award. His fourth book was a memoir entitled Zero to Seventy-Five in 30 Snapshots. This, his fifth book, is a collection of personal essays. A retired professor from Medgar Evers College, CUNY, in Brooklyn, David is an avid tennis player and part of a writers group. He lives in New York City.
