So much has happened in such a short amount of time that Jenny Boston feels completely lost. As a newlywed, she feels abandoned by her new husband and best friend and turns to an old friend for solace. Nothing is the same anymore. Jenny had dreams for her future for as long as she can remember but now, she isn't even sure how to keep moving forward let alone achieve what now seems unattainable.
Sadie Montgomery is afraid of the world. After surviving the unspeakable, she finds herself stuck in limbo where she can't go back and she doesn't know how to move forward. Haunted by dreams she doesn't remember and memories she wishes she could forget, she pushes herself to get back to normal and focus on the future like nothing ever happened to her.
Jenny and Sadie's friendship has seemingly disintegrated. Neither one believes they will ever be able to repair the damage that has been done. When they finally do come face to face, what will they say to each other?
