Set in contemporary California, this is the poignant story of Cate and her daughter Hana. Hana has Werner's Syndrome, a disease which speeds ageing to twice the normal rate. Hana is 38, but looks 80. Their lives are quiet and dignifed, until Laura, Hana's friend from school, shows up with her two daughters.
