Dragons are mythical beings that never cease to capture the imagination. Many of us have read tales of fire-breathing dragons that kidnap fair maidens and destroy entire towns with their fiery breath. This is the European/Greek version of the fictional creature. In the east in countries such as China, the dragon takes on a different appearance and significance. The term dragon comes from the Latin word, 'draconem' and means 'a serpent of huge size'. There is also a Greek term, 'drakon' which means 'serpent'.
