Bram Stoker wrote the story of the mythical vampire reformulating concepts borrowed from Eastern European folklore to create a universal character. After the film Nosferatu, the legend of Dracula began, and the fame of the Irish writer began postmortem. The novel is initially set in London. Jonathan Harker, a young English lawyer, travels on business to Transylvania where his client, Count Dracula, lives.
