A novel based on the lifestory of Caroline Herschel (1750-1848), a woman of German descent who moved to England in her early twenties, becoming a singer in high society Bath. Caroline supported her brother, William, when he was appointed Court Astronomer to King George III, she took an interest in his studies, and herself became an astronomer of significance.
