Publisher's Synopsis
My life's work as a physician, psychiatrist, and alternative healer has been the investigation of social oppression, and how to block or reverse its effects. As a writer, I have created a series of books, therapies, and biotechnologies with this specific goal in mind, united under the rubric: Freedom from Social Oppression.
"Double Trouble" is the second of four anthologies, or collection of narrative pieces, from my first book: "Hide and Play Dead." The organizing theme for this anthology is sexual identity -and its corollary, sexuality.
The issue of sexuality and gender identity has been part of American culture for decades. The complexity of each sexual identity groups' subpopulations and sub-cultures is amplified by America- as a country with a long history of sexual experimentation and diversity.
Although these pages largely relate my experience as a gay or bisexual male, the ten long-term relationships I had are relevant to persons of any sexual identity group. We all struggle with others in intimate ways, and we all know how difficult it is to find an appropriate partner or establish a healthy marriage.
The other anthologies in this series center on the topics of establishing one's independent adult, racial, and spiritual identity.
