L. Frank Baum was an American author best known for writing the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its sequels. Baum was a prolific writer as he is credited with over 50 novels, 200 poems, and close to 100 short stories. Baum remains one of the most widely read and influential writers in the fantasy fiction genre. Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz is the fourth novel of the classic series. The book starts with an earthquake in California which causes Dorothy to fall into an underground cavern where magical adventures ensue.
