Publisher's Synopsis
Haring's work resonated with people of all ages and beliefs. The 'family dog' and the 'radiant baby' were recurring themes in his art and he drew both motifs in many incarnations. His dogs were distinctly anthropomorphic. Dancing, laughing, ogling and showing off, they were on occasion an alter-ego of sorts and provide a touching and funny counterpoint to his more monumental work.
Matched with insightful entries from his writings, which reveal his thoughts on life, friendship and art, these joyful drawings continue to entertain and provoke.
