Darkness, the original frontier! What is darkness, really? By definition it is the quality or state of being without light! Simple enough. It can also be the total or near total absence of light. It could further be the quality of being shade of black or color. It may even be the condition considered gloomy or a depressed state or tone. It has even been tied to the existence of evil. In the year 1492, darkness was understood as a lack of knowledge or being unenlightened. In the current day secular world, darkness happens in an individual's life through what they call "existential stress." For Christians, darkness should spark our imagination and causes praise for the One who created the light. For those who do not believer or are truly ungodly, it is said that they see darkness as a way to hide their conduct and secrets. Or does it? What does the Bible offer about darkness?
