It's Christmas Eve and Dittle's parents must take him to the hospital for emergency surgery. As Dittle drifts off on the operating table, a Christmas Angel brings his old blue rug to life for the evening so that Blufur can take him on a magic carpet ride around the world. The magical rug zigzags through the air, guiding them on a sight seeing tour of Japan, France, Ireland, Australia and Italy. Dittle has a great time seeing new places, meeting new people and eating great food but he must return to the hospital room before his operation ends.
