Publisher's Synopsis
There are over 30+ neurodegenerative diseases currently being investigated inside research labs considerably the result of the infectious agent called a prion. Prions are self-deployed infectious proteins that develop into deadly clusters deep inside the brain. This causes the degeneration and oftentimes seen on image as a spongy-like depiction as a result of the deadly prion agent. Within the text I explain in-depth all diseases potentially caused by the prion agent. As research continues, so do the findings of prions being the cause of most, if not all, neurodegenerative disease. If prions are truly the cause of all degenerative diseases, this would cause extreme confusion inside the science field and utmost call for procedural adjustment. A little about me... I am a neurodegenerative disease researcher with my B.S in Biology (Pre-Medical emphasis). I've lost my grandmother and aunt to a rare and fatal neurodegenerative disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob (CJD) disease. Providing information to families suffering from any type of memory loss or motor neuron disease such as Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's, etc, has developed as a personal passion of mine, as I know the emotion that follows from a neurodegenerative disease diagnosis. Please visit my website PrionAwareness.Org if you have any questions regarding my research!
