Publisher's Synopsis
This is not a reflection on determinism or predetermination. It may sound as if the author is saying that everyone's destiny is already sealed. But all that the author is saying is that God has a plan for us and this plan is the masterplan of our lives. One may interpret the message of the book in the light of the words of psalm 139 and Jeremiah 29. In Psalm 139:1-4, the psalmist cries out, "O Lord, You search me and you know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all." The psalmist states the fact that everything about us human beings is very clear to God. We cannot surprise God because He knows the movement of our hearts through and through. Because God knows us so well, He plans for us. Just as He announces to the Jewish exiles in Babylon through the Prophet Jeremiah: "For I know the plans that I have for you, ' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope" (Jer 29:11). In the same way, God has plans for every human person. This is what Nzekwe tries to explain with many words and stories in this beautiful book. Everyone needs proper discernment to discover his or her own masterplan and live accordingly.-Dr. Luke E. Ijezie [Rev.
