Generalstabs-chef des Erzherzogs Karl Ludwig theil und trat 1. März 1860 in den zeitlichen, 25. Nov. 1870 in den bleibenden Ruhestand und erhielt bei letzterem Anlasse den Oberstens Charakter ad honores. Am 17. Febr. 1871 wurde De Traux als Commandant des Landwehr Bat. Villach Nr. 22 (jetzt Nr. 27) in die nicht active k. K. Landwehr eingetheilt, 1. Nov. 1872 in die active k. K. Landwehr übersetzt und unter gleichzeitiger Ernennung zum Commandanten des landwehr-bat. Cilli Nr. 20 zum wirklichen Obersten befördert. Am 1. Oct. 1880 trat er als titular-generalmajor definitiv in den Ruhe stand und starb zu Cilli 17. Sept. 1883. De Traux war seit 17. Sept. 1854 mit Josephine geb. Freiin von zois-edelsstein vermählt, welcher Ehe ein Sohn und eine Tochter entsproßen.
