Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Theologie - Historische Theologie, Kirchengeschichte, Note: 1,0, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die evangelische Kirche und Medien mit den Bereichen Print, Rundfunk und Online-Dienste sind zwei wesentliche Faktoren der Kommunikation im 21.Jahrhundert. Die Kirche in Deutschland ist als Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts eine systematisch organisierte Institution, agiert auf vielen gesellschaftlichen Ebenen der Bundesrepublik und hat in den vergangenen zwanzig Jahren eine zunehmende Konzentration auf ihre Öffentlichkeits- und Medienarbeit vorangetrieben. Die Medien leisten über Nachrichten- und Informationsträger einen entscheidenden Beitrag für das Zusammenleben der Generationen und verschiedener Berufs- und Interessengruppen. Insbesondere seit der Einführung des dualen Rundfunksystems sind die öffentlich-rechtlichen und die privaten Rundfunkanstalten und Verlage zunehmend einflussreicher gewordene Wettbewerbsteilnehmer auf dem Kommunikationsmarkt. Wie viele der westlichen Industriestaaten ist die deutsche Gesellschaft, mit ihrem Gebrauch und ihrer Abhängigkeit von Radio, Fernsehen, Computer- und audiovisuellen Techniken, eine für die gegenwärtige Zeit typische Mediengesellschaft. Durch die konstante Weiterentwicklung elektronischer Kommunikationsmittel existiert mittlerweile eine vollständig digitalisierte Medienkultur. Neben diesem medialen Wandel ist das pluralistische Verhältnis zwischen unterschiedlichen Kulturen und Religionen von großer Bedeutung für die Position der Kirche in der Öffentlichkeit Deutschlands. Auch die evangelische Kirche steht heute daher bezüglich ihrer Selbstdarstellung und der Kooperation mit Verlagen, Presseeinrichtungen sowie Print- und Rundfunkvertretern vor völlig anderen Herausforderungen als noch vor einem halben Jahrhundert.
