Publisher's Synopsis
Spanish nobleman Belmonte has arrived in Turkey to rescue his betrothed Konstanze, her maid Blonde and servant Pedrillo from the palace of the Pasha, who now owns them as slaves. The Pasha's overseer, Osmin, tries to prevent Belmonte from entering, but Pedrillo claims he is an architect who has come to visit the Pasha. Once reunited with Konstanze and Blonde, the men hatch a plan for escape. Performed by The London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Glyndebourne Chorus. Principal performers include Ryland Davies, Willard White, James Hoback, Joachim Bissmeier, Valerie Masterson and Lillian Watson.
