Publisher's Synopsis
25 years after reunification, the literary-aesthetic, theatrical and cinematic culture of remembrance to real socialism is as diverse as it is suspicious. In current educational contexts, however, this memory is less and less connected to a communicative memory. In addition, the memory processes mostly focus on literature and media from the GDR era. The volume therefore explores current didactic perspectives of a cultural GDR memory after 1990, which stands out from strongly factual memory and narrative interpretations of the official memory.
