Miltons--Thick and well fulled woolen suiting; used for hunting garments in England; came usually in brown, red and blue colors. Mina--A variety of embroidery executed at Delhi. India, and resembling cloisonne. The outline of the design, consisting usually of flowers and foliage, is done in gold thread and the pattern is filled in with bright colored silk; it is used for screens, table covers, etc. Mina Cloth--Stout twilled cloth of wool and cotton, Minas Geraes--Variety of raw cotton from Brazil. Mineiro--Sort of raw cotton from Brazil. Mingchow--An inexpensive silk brocade woven by the natives in the Hangchow district, China, and used for garments. Miniature--French silk dress goods, having small flowers formed by floating filling threads; obsolete. Minikin Bay--A XVII century coarse English worsted cloth. Minorca--Twilled, silk and linen cloth; obsolete. Minpow--Generic term in the Canton market for a variety of cotton goods, mostly Imported. M inter--Late maturing commercial variety of prolific upland cotton, the staple measuring 22-25 millimeters; the yield is 30-32 per cent. Miostade--See demi-ostade. Mi-parti--French for pied effect in fabrics, especially ribbons, the width of which is divided into two equal parts of different colors; see boiteaux. Mirecourt Lace--Originally a French bobbin lace, similar to Lille (see), lately bobbin made sprigs are appllqued on machine net ground. Mireshka--Russian drawn and cut work, embroidered with colored yarn on a canvas foundation. Mirganji--Indian jute of a fairly strong but harsh fiber; it is grown in the Rungpore district.
