This book is an introduction to the collecting of both Torquay pottery perfume bottles and other types of perfume bottles associated with the development of the violet and lavender perfumes for the tourist trade during the early 20th century.
Through the items in my own collection, I offer a fascinating glimpse at what these areas of collecting have to offer. This book provides information on the items themselves, their production and the business that supported their creation including over 230 photographs and images, including over 120 perfume bottles. The topics in this book cover the area where antique bottle collecting overlaps with the collecting of Devon potteries such as Longpark and Watcombe, offering something of interest to collectors in both areas.
