Publisher's Synopsis
The work is devoted to the movement of ground water in layered aquifers represented by alternating previous and semipervious layers. A number of solutions for the Carson - Laplace transform in previous layers in case of pumping from the same layer have been derived. All methods derived are accompanied by practical explanations concerning the location of the pumping and observation wells - their depth, number and location, time of pumping etc. the methods developed and the mathematical models are illustrated by some examples in which the hydraulic constants are determined from pumping test data. A brief information is given also on the use of the derived solution for solving of prognostic problems.
