Papers are of a practical nature covering a wide perspective. Topics include a keynote discussion of the soil/rock boundary, followed by discussions and case studies on the definition of rock as it pertains to construction and highway projects. Subjects covered include geographic differences in the definition of rock, effects of equipment changes on the definition, and ground stabilization in soft ground tunneling.
