Product Design for Key Stage 3 has a flexible unit-based structure. The use of structured, as well as open-ended units ensures a balance between knowledge and understanding and designing and making. Each unit builds on the previous unit and provides a higher level of challenge. The units can be used as the basis for a ready-made sequence of lessons, or as support for delivering knowledge and understanding within other tasks set by the teacher.
