The long, cool summers in the vicinity of San Francisco Bay are found to produce seeds of a higher germinating quality than any section yet tried in the United States crops are not subject to the extreme hot weather Of the growing season Of the Eastern States; for this reason seeds produced in California are better than those grown in the Eastern States, or so-called Northern grown seeds.
