He and his descendants lived at Dirleton Castle in Haliburton, West Berwick Scotland for generations before emigrating to England, Australia, Canada, and the United States. His children married into every influential family in Scotland, including Wemyss, Ruthven, Sinclair and Douglas. Volume 1 contains Generations 1-28.
