Deploy! Is a book for anyone who has always wanted to build a web application but was too intimidated to start. It is not a programming manual: far better programming manuals than we could write already exist. Rather, it crosses the gaps that come before and after learning to program: how to set up a development environment in which to write your code, and how to take code you have and put it on the web. Deploy! will list exactly what to do to set up a PHP and/or Ruby development environment on your computer, with a MySQL database to boot. With that, there are no more excuses.
