This Manual is composed of several volumes, each containing its own purpose, and administratively reissues DoD 6055.09-STD. The purpose of the overall Manual, is to establish explosives safety standards for the Department of Defense. These standards are designed to manage risks associated with DoD-titles ammunition and explosives (AE) by providing protection criteria to minimize serious injury, loss of life and damage to property. This volume provides criteria for the construction of barricades and explosive facilities, to include criteria for facilities with reduced separation distances. DoD 6055.09-M
